Radio Ondas Servicios Marítimos S.L. (ROSM) was founded by Mr Enrique López Roque in 1986 under the name Radio Ondas CB.
For more than fifteen years, the company's core business focused on the fishing industry and passenger vessels calling at the Port of Algeciras.
Over time, offices were opened in the ports of Barbate and Tarifa, mainly serving the fishing industry and progressively strengthening the company's experience within the maritime sector.
From Radio Ondas to ROSM Group

The beginnings of Radio Ondas
Mr Enrique López Roque founded Radio Ondas CB in 1986. The company initially focused on the fishing industry and passenger vessels calling at the Port of Algeciras.
Offices were subsequently opened in Barbate and Tarifa, strengthening the company's presence in the fishing sector.
A new generation
By 2007, the fishing market had almost completely disappeared and the economic crisis was significantly reducing business opportunities.
Against this backdrop, Mr Enrique López Roque's sons, Mr Enrique López Duarte and Mr Francisco López Duarte, began a new chapter at the helm of the family business.
Radio Ondas Servicios Marítimos S.L.
The new management initially focused on ensuring the continuity of the core business while changing the company's legal structure to that of a limited company.
From that point onwards, the company became known as Radio Ondas Servicios Marítimos S.L., while retaining the original Radio Ondas name and identity.
A new growth strategy
ROSM began strengthening its repair and technical assistance services at Spain's main ports, progressively expanding its geographical coverage and business operations.
Partnerships were soon established with leading Spanish tugboat operators and Boluda Tankers, while maintaining the strong support of Furuno España, which had worked with Radio Ondas since its early years.
M1 electronic service company certification
In 2010, ROSM obtained certification from the Spanish Directorate-General for the Merchant Marine as a Class M1 electronic service company authorised to operate aboard Spanish merchant vessels.
This authorisation enables ROSM to carry out repairs, installations and shore-based maintenance services for electronic equipment across the fleet.
International certification and recognition
Today, ROSM holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications awarded by Bureau Veritas.
ROSM is also certified by major international classification societies including ABS, LR, BV, CCS, RINA, KR, DNV and NKK to carry out GMDSS radio equipment inspections and annual VDR performance tests.
Expansion of our national service network
The increasing number of service requests throughout Spain led ROSM to expand its presence with new offices in Barcelona, Bilbao, Cádiz, Huelva, Valencia, Vigo and the Canary Islands .
This network allows ROSM to provide faster technical response and support the company's continued growth.
Agreements with leading manufacturers
The trust of major Spanish shipowners, combined with a business policy centred on quality, has enabled ROSM to secure distribution and representation agreements with leading manufacturers.
These include Furuno, Danelec, Interschalt-MacGregor, JRC, Kelvin Hughes, Intellian, Jotron, Highlander Beijing Technologies, Wärtsilä, SAL Navigation, Samsung and E2V , among others.
Technical expertise on board
Today, ROSM has extensive experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of marine navigation and communication equipment.
The company provides coverage across all Spanish ports and offers technical assistance at international ports with 24-hour support capability.
Our technicians are trained to work with equipment including VHF, MF/HF, radar, ECDIS, VDR, gyrocompasses, echo sounders, anemometers, autopilots, speed logs and VSAT systems , among others.

Our structure enables us to provide technical support throughout Spain and at international ports, combining experience, specialist training and trusted relationships with shipowners, service partners and manufacturers.
Relationships built to last.
ROSM provides full shore-based maintenance for more than 80 vessels, delivering comprehensive technical support for fleets operated by Baleària, Trasmed (Grimaldi Group), FRS and Armas (Trasmediterránea) .
In addition, more than 500 vessels worldwide are covered by our shore-based maintenance services.
